I am looking for a digital media player that I can connect to an external HDD to watch video content (MPG, MPEG, AVI, DVD/VOB/IFO, etc) on my tv. I do not need to be able to stream content wirelessly/wired from my PC...everything exists on my hard drive. Just need something that I can plug the drive into and play...tried with my Xbox 360...but no dice playing the ripped DVD content. Thinking about Mediagate MG-35, but I am not sold on it yet, plus can't seem to find out if it can work with an external drive.
