I really can't believe how good this 44 year old show looks in HD. I was a big fan of "Hogan's Heroes" on HDNET but it was obvious that HH was meant for the TV sets of the day; the General's eye-linered on scar for example. But "Flipper" looks beautiful in HD, and there's no obvious cropping to get it to full 16:9 AR. It really looks like it was shot for HD or theatrical release. The scenery and those 1960's era women look fantastic. The plots are so corny (and obvious "Lassie" rip offs) that they're almost funny. With so little children's programming available on E*'s "HD Only" package, it looks like I'll be seeing quite a bit of this honker.
