I got my 50PZ700U and I just ordered the Onkyo HT-SP908 HtiB system (comes with TX-SR605 Onkyo receiver). I also plan on getting DirecTV HD DVR.
I want to hook my PS3 up to the theater as well for video games and Blu-Ray. Will the HDMI cables on Monoprice work with my PS3?
And will I need 3 cables only or should I buy more? (1 for the PS3, 1 for the receiver, 1 for DirecTV HD DVR)

Yes, but in a puzzling move...they still require a special cable if you want to use component.

No, a good 1.3 capable hdmi cable is totally fine. Monoprice will do nicely.

Wait....so if I want to use the component cables the PS3 came with I will need a special HDMI cable? No, the PS3 has a standard HDMI port. The PS3 supports up to 1080p with it's HDMI connection & 1080i with it's component connection.
The point I believe "ibdoomed" was trying to make is Sony's PS3 requires their proprietary cable to support a component connection.

I think you mean composite cables. The PS3 comes with those...the red, white and yellow. I understand the confusion. You would think an HD game system and blu-ray player would come with cables to allow one to view games and movies in HD.
