Is there a way to figure out the hours of use on the Canon HV20? I could not find anything in the manual.

only expensive semi pro cams like the sony z1 have a hours of use function as far as i know.

Count how many used tapes you have in the shoebox! Seriously though, I spend a lot of time playing around in the menus and haven't seen such a feature.

i've heard every camcorder has it, i just dont know how to get to it.
