i would think with the popularity of these two manufactures this would be common issue. however, i did a quick search and didnt really find anything.

i have an mx810 and i am working on programming it. i have the denon 2898ci, which is not in the URC database. i understand that i can just pick a simillar unit that is in the database since denon likely uses the same coding for all its units.

the question is which unit do i pick? i figure the 3808ci should be sufficient, but there are several variations to choose from. which one is the correct or best option.

after the model and remote number the database list these different versions, like MAIN ID1 and EXT ID1, and i have no idea what that means. i tried the MAIN option and it wants me to still lean the input buttons from the AVR directly.

any help?
