One evening i tried to turn my tv off and it would not shut down. What is happening is, all the buttons on the tv including the power button, and all the buttons on the remote do not work. The tv is working fine, however will not respond and will not shut off. Looking for advice??

What model TV do you have? My HLT5689S started exhibiting the exact same symptoms about a week ago. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it. I plan on calling Samsung for service tomorrow.

HLT5689S is the model i have as well. I will need to call for servicing also but unfortunately don't have much time for this. I'd appreciate any information you are able to find out. Hoping for the best as I have just bought this TV a few months ago.

remote will not work so volume cannot change.
I can change to other source with buttons on right side.
Large circle botton does not work, have to unplug power outlet.
Please post cause and solution. Anything pressed on remote, green
light flashes.
