I only watched the second half and I don't recall hearing it mentioned even once. Is bluray the format that dare not mention it's name?
Also, I was a little disappointed that during the In Memoriam segment there was no mention of HD-DVD.

Err, why should someone mention HD-DVD,Blu-Ray or any other home video format (especially the ones which are still niche).
To make things clear: The Oscar Night is a night for films and stars not for some home video formats. Most of the movies presented at the oscars aren't even out on any home video format.

hmm Oscars is about FILM not formats? What exactly does Blu/HDDVD/UMD or whatever have to do with oscar nights? Most of the films are sent out in DVD still to the nominators!
