well, i got this over 5 months ago, and haven't been able to post on this forum, so here it goes.
the 7178 has been the best tv i have ever owned. i own a sammy 6373 pdp downstairs and this tv destroys it. The picture's color is displayed with incredible accuracy. Very brillant, deep blacks, good hues displayed through dark scenes to incredibly bright ones. had to adjust the iris per the service menu because it was actually too bright.... still makes everything pop out.
funny story, this 71iner confused my sister's great dane the day we got it. As the tv warmed up, DHDTheater had man vs. wild with a man running towards the camera, the dog backed up and almost lunged at the tv as if the man were real.
enough stories, here is one pic of the finished room with tv working. unfortunately, i didn't have a tripod, so boxes allowed the camera t wiggle, giving the picture a slightly blurred look, i apologize for that.
