Hi,

Need some suggestions on scaling 1080p24 to 1280x800 vga. I am taking the output from the second port on my ati video card and sending it to my touchscreen that runs at 1280x800. I need to send the first port to my 1080p24 plasma. Due to the mirroring limitation of windows, I need to send 1080p to both ports and then scale it back to 1280x800 for connection to my touchscreen. Also need to be cheap since I am not too concerned about the video quality on the touchscreen.

Thanks.

No cheap way that I know of. Actually it would probably be pretty expensive. 1280x800 is not a common ratio, so you'd need one with customer adjustable ones...that isn't cheap.

You might try DScaler version 4 and Powerstripe. Powerstripe can get you almost any resolution format the hardware can support. DScaler is now on version 5 which is DirectShow compatable. Don't know much about this version.

Best of all both these software products are freeware!
