DX-LCD42HD-09 / code for Motorola remote

Does anyone have a DX-LCD42HD-09 code for a Motorola remote control?
Loving the tv but its a pain to have to use 2 remotes. I've checked with both the cable provider (Aliant) and the tv manfaturer but no luck. Appreciate if someone has it or knows if these two components are even compatible.

Thanks

Have Onkyo TX-SR605 receiver with 2 HDMI inputs & 1 output to Sony KDS-50A3000 with 2 HDMI inputs. The 2 inputs on the 605 are being used on other DVD player and Cable box. After I dub from old VHS to DVD I can play them on the Sony DVD player. I want to get best proformance from the tapes. HDMI straight to the TV, or does VHS work through HDMI? oxie

adding Second SubWoofer

Image: http://www.stargateunofficial.com/images/psw505.jpg

I guess now is the time to add a second subWoofer. I have thought about adding a second subwoofer lot of times but this time iI had to do it.

I started reading more about how to add additional subwoofer and the more I read the more I realized the best was to use identical components.

So just for fun I Googled for some prices. Well surprise, surprise the Polk PSW505 has been discontinued! Just my luck. But it was my lucky day as some retailers still had the PSW505 and they have reduced the price by 58%. So get out yo credit card.

This weekend i will be installing a second Subwoofer.

Stones and we ain't talking rolling...

So you're sitting watching a movie and there's a full moon outside and then suddenly it strikes and you are down on the floor like the guy from an american werewolf in london...You're all on fours and you are howling and the dog outside hears you and joins in....You are rolling uncontrollably around the floor but this is no transformation ohhhhhhh no the wolf bite from the night before was just a bite and you are not turning into a werewolf....This is something far worse.....This is Kidney stone pain....

So you think to yourself i can ride this pain out and you make yourself a hot drink and try to control the pain as if you are some sort of super Jedi master.....This lasts until 2am in the morning at which time you call for an ambulance....Of course that takes 20 minutes to arrive but it's ok as you can't think of anything except the pain so time passes slow no matter if it's 20 minutes or an hour....You wonder why you didn't call them earlier and then remember cos you wanted to watch the new episode of Lost before going to hospital.

So they give you a painkilling injection of morphine in the ambulance and everything is a-ok again....They keep you in overnight and then tell you they want to stick a tube up a certain part of your anatomy....It'll be a cold day in hell before you do that to me you tell them....So you stay in half a day and decide that's it i'm leaving and going home as the pain has passed....BIG MISTAKE....The next day comes and it's 4am....The pain returns and once again you think your world has ended and Satan's spawn is crawling in your stomach and lower back.....So off you go to hospital again and you are greeted by nurses with a told you so look for leaving the previous day.

When that stone finally passes you feel a new man but would rather be feeling a new woman ;)

Praise be to the kidney stone god and i look forward to the next one.

One possible solution to green lines on tv screen from signal going through hdmi

THIS IS A GENERAL RESPONSE TO SOMEONE'S QUESTION ABOUT GREEN LINES, BUT CAN BE APPLICABLE TO MOST 1080P/1080I SOURCES.

Ok, here's the deal with monster cables. Sometimes i regret paying as much as i do for the cables, but the new line (1000 hd) are future proof by monster with a replacement guarantee, so i bought the 1000 hd cable at 35' to run from my hdmi swtich (i have four sources, a ps3 (1808p), an xbox 360 (1080p), an htpc (1080p), and an hd dvr (1080i)) to my 1080p projector. When i installed the first cable as indicated in the instructions by mc, with the arrow pointing toward the destination (my projector), there were the green lines you spoke about on all three of my 1080p sources. The 1080i picture from my hd dvr looked fine. I called mc and they said it was possibly a defective cable, so they sent me a replacement. I installed the replacement, same way, same thing, green lines on my 1080p sources, perfect picture from my 1080i hd dvr. I had a brain fart and turned the cable around, to where the arrow was pointing toward the source (the hdmi switch), and all four sources had perfect pictures. I called mc support and asked them why that would be, and they said that they've run into instances with some of their cables from a particular production run were shielded backwards, and thus the arrow goes in the wrong direction. Apparently the shielding is directional to help avoid interference. I told the rep that i thought that didn't speak highly of mc's quality control, and he claims it was an isolated instance. You may have also received a cable from a "bad" production run. And since a 1080i signal is less "complicated" and less prone to interference versus a 1080p signal, that explains why your ps3 (1080p) signal had a problem and not your wii (1080i) signal. Hope this helps somebody.

My wifes brother is a horse breeder. And last year one of the horse he breed won the "Breeders Cup" Sprint, Midnight Lute.

Well we is running again this year at the Breeders cup again and won. First time ever that the same horse won two years in a row.

Well we had to watch the race on the 110" screen. I tried to use the Samsung HDTV box. But i guess it will only do digital cable. So i pulled out the Sony HDTV box and connected up the charter analog cable and we watched it on ESPN2.

This post is a Little late as the race was last Saturday.

10/2008 A/V gear retired

Image: http://www.stargateunofficial.com/Gallery/Pic/HT_RetiredGear.jpg

Here is a photo of all the A/V gear that I removed from the rack. I waited a long time, over a year to do this. But when you have not used something in over a year it is time for it to go. That is the case with the Rock plus video processor and the HDTV box.

Once I started using the Blue-ray/HD-DVD player The Rock did not get used. And the HDTV box was a generation one receiver and had a tough time pulling in digital signals from LA, only 30 miles to the west.

All the newer devices also only send the fully upscaled video single over HDMI so the component video path for the older video players is obsolete.

I had a hard time pulling out these device as there has been a lot of money spent on some of these boxes. Not only on the botxes but also on the set up, configuration and calibration
