My little Home Cinema

Here is what I build. ( bad pq! format conversion did not work for me )
Except the audio everyting is diy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqH1_bQBJpM (very dark)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2wi_KFcDvA (lighting a little better)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0YdslZS3x0 PS3 Gameplay on DIY projector (Also dark, but OK. The camera was not made for filming in the dark.)

I can upload some Fotos of the building phase if someone is interested.

Regards

Yes its a diy one. The panel is a Sharp 1920x1200.

Here is a link for the Speakers. Unfortunately all in German. I got them from a friend who was working with the developer (very cheap)

Sure. They are 50 Watt 220 Volt GU10 Socket bulbs. I used the 220 V version instead of 12 V due to the face that they can be dimmed. You see what I mean in the Videos. This way I can gently take down the lightning using a remote, before the film starts.

I am sure you will get this bulbs in a 110 Volt version for the states somewhere.

Here is a link. I got mine from ebay:

Number 230157313156 on ebay.de.

There are 6 blue neons around the field. If you mean the silver stuff, that is the aluminum foil, that is used to store food. I just put it together and then gently unfoled it to get the effect.

Cool

Today I put a new rack into the room. I bought it on Ebay for around 100 €. I considered that as top of the "rack budget". The seller was a little crossed. When I asked him for the matter he told me, that he had paid like 2700 € for it and he was expecting something around 700 € at least, I was smiling

The three granite plates are very thick. It is weighing around 90 kg. ( My back hurts! ) Color is black pearl.

I have to say it is nice. The 100 bucks were well spend

I still have to sort out the cables and the extra carpet I put under it to save the real one.

This one is for the HTPC and consoles plus I need space for all the turntables.

Regards

*edit: how to get the picture in the text box? Thanks!

Ty.

The hardware you saw in the vid actually had to leave the HTPC. I now have a 775 Board with an Intel 6750 and an ATI 2400 pro. Combined with a passive Silverstone power supply you have a nice and quiet PC even with the boxed cooler.

Here are some pictures:

Ty.

Here are some projection pictures. You see on some of them, that I still haven´t finished my DIY projector. I didn´t have any motivation recently. There ist a black bar in the right corner. This is due to a constuction mistake. The ballast for the 575 lamp ist throwing a shadow. I have to sorte it out soon.

Pictures are taken from Kingdom of heavens , some games and Sony ads.

Here you find the pictures in high res ( I think you have to download them ):

Here are some more projection pictures. The xbox shots are very bad, cause it is connected through composite to the receiver at the moment. This is bad, I know. Waiting for a YUV cable from Ebay.

Also check the different data rates for DVD and Blu Ray playback. Thats funny: DVD 4,9 Mbps and Blu Ray over 30 Mbps. ( rates are changing during playback ).

The second rack ist filled slowly... pitty its not the same hight as the first one.

Regards

Seems I really am to stupid to get the pics in here. I click on the "Insert Image" button and enter the URL. in this case: http://picasaweb.google.com/AirPlus0...55706160446018

Why is the picture not showing up?

Am I missing something?

*edit: OMG that was easy. Just do not take google as the storage. BTW: Thanks for all the help
