Very interesting. A week where all the big releases were on the Blu side and they still only made it to 68. FF is an action film, non-comedy, comic book, etc film. It fits in every category that does well on HDM.
I guess my prediction last month may hold that Blu-Ray will never get above 70% again. |

For people who are surprised by 68:32, I would be curious as to why you would be surprised. I know one HD DVD supporter claimed the trend was clear and guessed 51:49, but that seemed to ignore the reasons behind the numbers. High profile day-and-dates have a big effect and this week wasn't any different. FF2:ROTSS may not have gotten good reviews and didn't have a great followthrough after a big opening weekend, but it was still bound to move the numbers in Blu-ray's direction, even if the degree was open.
Transformers is a huge title (I said that before Paramount switched) and it will be interesting to see if it can do a 32:68 week for HD DVD. I think HD DVD should win that week, but 32:68 or better for HD DVD would be very good. --Darin
