Really! I was under the impression that it's impossible to get 1080p through component. You're telling me the Pro8100 will accept 1080p through component?

No matter what I try, reducing the gamma/brightness/ contrast, nothing works, and the black levels are grey. Also, the projector constantly auto-adjusts the image and slides the picture to the left as soon as I start the 360 up. I don't understand why the two inputs would be so different under the same color settings. I would revert back to the component input, but the resolution is noticeably better through the vga. Anybody have any suggestions for any of that?
Well, the pj is expecting PC levels from the VGA input. PC's map grayscale to 0-255, while other sources use 16-235. Effectively, your black is at 0, instead of at 16, and your white is at 255...what should be black on screen at 16 is actually being shown as a shade of grey.

I believe you need to set your X box to expanded if you have that option.

With component, you can send 1080p, but only with SD-DVD and I believe HD-DVD. You cant with Blu ray since it's blocked by copyright.

I don't have an X-Box, so I can't be absolutely sure...but this is the way it works for every other device I know of.
