Los Angeles Area: Which Is A Better Bet-Time Warner, Dish or DirecTV?
I am sure this has been discussed many times before. I have Time Warner and the quality is great, but I can't help but notice all of the new HD channels being added to Dish and DirecTV. How is the compression on those systems compared to cable in the Los Angeles area?
Thanks!

I was a Direct TV subscriber ever since they sent up their first bird. I just went to Dish a month ago. Will never go back.
For me, it's not about how MANY HD channels there are, but WHICH ones they are, and how good is the PQ on them. For me, Dish wins hands down..........and, their HD DVR/tuner, the ViP722 is phenomenal, and its free. |

So you have to calculate the receiver cost plus lease fee, against the monthly receiver charges of the other services (cable, dish). Look at how much you spend in a year just on receiver fees. Just trying to provide you with the most information as possible so you know what you are getting into. |
