Blu-ray Coming Soon and Now Available Release List (New)

I ask for all users help in keeping me updated with new and upcoming movies. Please post them in the thread (no need to PM me) with a link from a reputable source stating the name of the movie (obviously) as well as either a firm date or an announcement stating that it will be coming in the future. If there is no link, I won't post it until it is confirmed.

If I miss anything or if there are any of the TBA listed movies that have been dated, please let me know.

Going forward I will only be adding movies to the "Will be released in 2010 with no specific date" and "TBA (Movies announced or rumored to be announced that have been pushed back to an unknown date.)" sections that have been mentioned by a reputable website and/or source as coming out with a general date (Winter 2010, Spring 2010, Summer 2010, etc). Otherwise, I may as well just list all upcoming movie theater releases, which would take up too much of my time. If it is a rumored date, I will list it appropriately, with a rumor tag.

The list of release dates I get at the beginning of a month for HDM, DVD, CDs and theatricals is usually wrong by the end of the first week. Release dates are constantly being changed, mostly due to what the other studios are doing, as well as other market forces. I changed the color from black to default, it should appear as white for those with the black background.

Do you plan to include foreign (european) releases in the list? Many good ones coming which won't be available yet in the U.S.

The White looks good, but the others would work as well. Red and Purple are easier on the eyes than the blues.

Bluray.com is reporting Be Kind Rewind from WB on June 10th. It actually marks the first time a release is available on hi-def before the DVD, which streets the following week.

i just bought and watched the Ben Hur 4 disk set and it was amazing to see in its full 2.76:1 AR glory. the widest movie i have ever seen. not only that but i could have sworn it was a HD disk and not just an upconverted dvd. this is of course due to the fact it was shot on 65mm resulting in a stunning, sharp picture. no dvd not even ones from movies that just came out months ago look as good upconverted as Ben-Hur. i cannot imagine how much better the BD version will look. it will be a instant buy for me.

Many good ones coming which won't be available yet in the U.S. For example: Cassandra's Dream, release date May 9th 2008. http://www.discshop.fi/shop/ds_produ...e=movies&&ref= Price is 27€ + postage... just ordered it DD5.1 only, but I think it's not that relevant in Allen't films. Most are 1.0 anyway.

ooms Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Posts: 460	i just bought and watched the Ben Hur 4 disk set and it was amazing to see in its full 2.76:1 AR glory. the widest movie i have ever seen. not only that but i could have sworn it was a HD disk and not just an upconverted dvd. this is of course due to the fact it was shot on 65mm resulting in a stunning, sharp picture. no dvd not even ones from movies that just came out months ago look as good upconverted as Ben-Hur. i cannot imagine how much better the BD version will look. it will be a instant buy for me.
