Always nice to see a fellow Klipsch owner.
Nice arrangement.
Your setup seems to be strictly for video. Do you plan on taking any steps towards music listening, for instance, adding a Universal player for multi-channel hi-res music playback (SACD/DVD-A) or a high quality CD player 2 channel playback?
Your room seems ideal for that scenario.

Regards.

Oh yeah! There's a lot to choose from. Were do we start?!!

I would suggest looking at the very popular Oppo products! Preferably the DV-981HD or the DV-983H.

Marantz makes a nice inexpensive DVD-A/SACD Universal Player called the DV6001.

Denon also has a decent universal player called the DVD1930CI

Yamaha's DVD-S1800.

Cambridge Audio's DVD89

Then there is Sony with SCD-C2000ES/B 5 disc CD/SACD changer

What all of these players have in common is that they are all under $500.00.

All offer great performance. The Oppo products, probably offers the best overall value.

I hope this helps.

Regards.

I realize you have a PS3. But if you want a digital device dedicated to quality audio playback without the fan noise and have the ability to see what track is being played without having to turn on your television, and you would like DSD capability for SACD playback, check this out.....
http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=NAT585

You can't go wrong with this player. Plus the price is right!

I guess my suggestion didn't appeal to you?! I just believe that you have a system and a room with the ability to give you outstanding 2 channel/hi-res multi-channel music playback. For $499, the NAD T585 Universal Player (normally $1199.00) is a great price for a great product. It is a highly regarded player with the DNA of it's big brother, the M55 (NAD Masters line). Although the Oppo offers DSD capability, the T585 is without question a step up from the Oppo 980. Some would argue, but IMO, the overall specs, build quality, and audio performance is superior. I would by it myself to replace my Denon DVD2910 but, due to the fact that I will be closing on my new house soon, buying a new Univ. player isn't on the priority list. Although, it would be a great "housewarming gift"!

http://nadelectronics.com/products/d...sal-DVD-Player $1199.00 On Sale for $499.00
http://www.oppodigital.com/dv980h/ $169.00

By the way, Sony has an inexpensive SACD/CD changer for $149.00. Obviously not of the same quality, but offers decent playback.

Regards.

Nice, clean setup! It's nice that you have such a large area of wall there in the living room for all your gear. My new RF-35's and RC-35 are in transit, I should have them within a few days. Hope they jive with my Onkyo TX-SR603X. What is the general condenses with using the Onkyo auto-setup utility via the included microphone? Is that what you use? Also, I wonder if an alternate, higher quality mic could be used? I just can't tell that much of a difference when adjusting the eq levels independently which is why I have always relied on the auto-setup.

I would use audyssey for sure. I notice a definite difference. the speakers sound more full. I adjust my crossover settings also since audyssey sets speakers to large most of the time.

Hello "Nezff".

So I guess I'm to assume that, to you, that my post regarding adding a high quality CD/SACD player to your system is not worthy of a response. If I offended you with the suggestion, then you have my apologies. Not a problem. I hope you are enjoying your system to the fullest. Again, a very nice set up.

Regards.

I had no idea that you didn't have the surrounds. Wow! How long have you had them up?! And has your listening experience changed dramatically or has it been a minor improvement?! The reason I ask, is depending on the setting on your receiver, you can create a surround-like experience with the fronts. Not the same, I know, but I did that with my family room (Yamaha/Polk) set up for a while, until I installed my Polk FXi3's. It did make a difference, but it was not huge because the system in that room is never driven hard. Regardless, congrats on the new surrounds!

Regards.

Please forgive the last post. I now feel kind of stupid for the assumption.

It was somewhat of a improvement. I can definately hear the different sounds coming from behind me now. I placed the surrounds on the side walls about 5 feet up, and just behind me.

Clean setup, beautiful room!

If you don't mind advice, I would move the front speakers away from the cabinet a little to give them more breathing room. I also agree with the suggestions above.

Enjoy!

Im asking $365 plus shipping, but I will split shipping. Actually you pay for one and Ill pay for one. I have the original boxes and they came from an authorized dealer.
I got on fedex and it should be around $30-40 to ship them to you. Thats for both of them, so $15-20 it would cost you. So $380-385 shipped! let me know asap!

nezff,

That's a beautiful system and room you have. Now I have another person's beautiful wood floor and angled ceiling to be jealous of. Your room is definitely exceptionally clean and uncluttered! I love the green lamp, where did you get it?

I like the set-up.

I'm using a cabinet type set-up also, I'm trying to adjust my couch/loveseat off to the left of the TV so it's more viewable, but space limitations has slowed down setting up a better viewing angle to the TV from the side...if anything I might have to push my wall-unit closer to the loveseat to create a better viewing angle from that seat, and will have to force moving one of my *similar tower speakers so it sits slightly to the left of the love seat.

Seems like there is a good view from all seating area's in your room.
