Lightbulb The Magic 8 Ball Speaks Out - '08-'09 NFL in HD on CBS!

Once again, the mystical M8B peers into the future, to enlighten mere mortals with knowledge and wisdom.

"CBS plans on all NFL to be in HDTV for the 2008-2009 season."

Enjoy!

CBS: Every NFL game in HD this season

Wow, how long have we been waiting for this? The Tiffany Network that practically invented football in HD, has been making way too many HD fans who follow the lower ranked teams in the NFL -- poor Browns' fans -- suffer through SD football just about every Sunday for as long as we can remember. Meanwhile the last broadcast network to go HD, would deliver almost every game in HD, every week. Well enough is enough, and the very credible Ken H from the AVS Forum has brought out his Magic 8 Ball -- which has a much track record then the one on our desk -- and confirmed that CBS is going to live up to its promise that for the 2008-2009 season every single NFL game on CBS will be presented in HD. All we can say is, about time.

Oh Almighty Magic 8Ball,

Please reply to this message with the following information:

1- The stock that will be the leader in 2008
2- The six numbers when the Mega Millions hit 300 Mi
3- Jessica Biel phone number(BOING! Sound of Mrs Travelfan1 hitting TravelFan1 in the head)

Also, I heard that Indy V will be called: Indiana Jones and the AVS Magic 8Ball

Long live M8B!

Magic 8 Ball topics are like finding out you only have a half day of work, or finding a long-lost $20 bill in a coat you haven't worn for awhile.

Great NFL HD News, now if the magic 8ball can somehow convince Directv to offer Vs in HD Ch. 604, in their normal Commercial Choice packages for Bars and Restaurants I would be a happy man. My home local cable Co. Cox, in S. OC. So. Cal doesn't offer it either and being a Pittsburgh native I'm pretty much screwed tonight in my ability to watch the Pens game in Hi D. I can't get it at home or even go to a Sports Bar. I run the Steeler fan club out here and our Sports Bar has been showing the CBS NFL games since 01-02. Tonight, no joy....

Sunday Ticket is based on the Fire code, 1-50, 50-99, 100-150 etc. plus of course the Super Fan now being additional for the HD. We have 20 HD receivers, 11 early games, Nascar, Baseball, Basketball, Golf, Tennis, a couple of early games run late, 5 or 6 late games, we are probably going to add a few more this summer.

Will DirectTV make SuperFan HD part of standard Sunday Ticket

If all games on CBS are now in HD, will they make the extra cost of SuperFan HD included in Sunday Ticket? I never used the other features of Superfan, just to get the HD feeds. I hated to pay for Sunday Ticket and also for Superfan just to enjoy HD. Now with all games in HD, hopefully not 2 charges anymore.

If there are going to be two separate charges, then I expect D* to either stick by it for all OR repeal the Superfan charge for all.

Hopefully, it is not necessary to have anymore threads devoted to "how to get the Superfan charge waived".

I have yet to pay for SF and will not this year I either get it for free or drop the whole package it will be their decision not mine. The ST is just not waht it used to be with all the games that are now available on OTA or ESPN or NFL Network. I really don't think I would miss it all that much unlike 5-10 years ago.

It seems my fears have been realized.

Even the Raiders? That's a big change. No games in HD to every game in HD.

I am sure it has nothing to do with the Raiders personally.

the browns were dissed on hd alot last year because every year they sucked....now off their 10 win season the pressure is on them and they have a brutally tough schedule to go with that as well.
