ImageMixer on Vista Problem

Hi,
I have canon Vixia HF 10 Camcorder and I have ImageMixer3.0 Software Installed on Vista Home Premium With SP1 on my laptop which is Intel Core2 Duo 2.4 Ghz with 4GB ram.
The problem is when I connect the camcorder to the laptop. ImageMixer recognize the camcorder and i am able to download the video files from camcorder to PC
But the problem is when I disconnect and start the imageMixer and want to edit any of the files . Image mixer does not work. The loading sign is there for ever and it stops automatically. I cannot edit or load any file with imagepixer. Imagepixer only works to download the file on the computer and apart from that it does not work for any thing else. wether the camcorder is connected or not.
Any one facing this issue please help

Is your Vista HP SP1 32 or 64 bit? ImageMixer supports the 32 bit only.

I had no problems with mine, 3GB 32-bit Vista HP SP1. Actually I had some problems when I tried different players and codec. From reading here and elsewhere, ffdshow and Haali are known to break Imagemixer. When I uninstalled those it worked again. The same with the k-lite codec pack.

Not sure if that applies to the problem either of you are facing, but if you have one of those three, that is very well the problem. Other than that, I have no ideas. Sorry and good luck.

It was Haali that was breaking Pixela. Do a search through the HF10/HF100 thread and there are instructions for stopping them clashing. It's on page 56 I think.

Glad it (somewhat) works for you. Should be enough to tide you over for now (speaking of myself.)

Have you tried downloading the latest patch? The latest version is 3.1.2.
