I ordered it from Amazon Thursday. Supposed to get it Wednesday. I'm hoping to finally have a Rush concert with picture and audio to match the quality of their live shows.

FYI, Best Buy has a free download of 2112 from the last tour.

Only 128k MP3, but there are no strings attached.

Ok just so you guys don't get disappointed. I'm not sure, and I don't have the disk. But it might just be DD5.1 and 2.0 PCM.
Spoiler

I have to hand it to Sony BMG, sony pictures BDs might be limited to 16bit tracks. But the concert releases almost always have 24bit 5.1lossless audio. Sometimes with a high sampling rate too. Sony BMG didn't handle this one did they?

Yeah but the video also says TBA. So I don't think they have actual specs from anything. It's probably just from the templates.

I hate it when people just go "I have it" then don't tell us anything when we can't find specs anywhere. It makes my hairs turn colors from suspense.

Best Buy and Amazon says the release date is today. This stuff normally comes out on Tuesdays though. Think they'll have it today?

I saw it out today at Best Buy and it says PCM on the back, I put off picking up a copy until tomorrow. I wanted to see if anyone here had seen and heard it first.

Just got a copy from a local BB (Broadway/62St).

I can't find any info about audio other than the PCM printed in the back cover.

Agreed. If somebody could just pop this thing in long enough to tell us if it has 5.1 PCM, it would be awesome!

I have read multiple reports from Rush geeks with the disc in hand that it's a DTS-MA track.

Is there any other kind of Rush fan?

(Yes, I've watched them live and bought the albums, tapes, and CDs. I am a Rush geek.)

Yeah, I can double confirm that it's DTS-HD MA.

Also, the case is what the Criterion's will look like, which is to say, they look neat, but a little on the cheap side.

Oh dear god. Rush and their unconventional, cheap packaging. What is it? Details please.

I thought the packaging was interesting. You couldn't really tell it was a Blu-ray until you look on the back. The Blu-ray packaging is almost identical to the DVD it's just slightly smaller.

someone please post pics

The disc isn't in a sleeve, is it?'

And how about some impressions? Video quality? Audio quality? DTS-HD MA doesn't automatically make it sound great.

DTS-MA makes sense considering it is a Universal Music release.

Did not realize it was Universal. DTS-MA does make sense.

I was at the rack in BB for quite a while looking before I noticed the little logo. Nothing on the spine, even. Why the secrecy?

Picture is pretty good. It's hazy, as you'd expect at such a show, but you get lots of close Alex/Geddy hand shots which is very cool for musicians. Long shots of the band aren't all that clear to me.
Sound is very much like a rock concert in an arena...lots of hall/crowd sound. I would have preferred the impact/clarity of a direct board feed for the band, but this is representative of every Rush show I've been to. Not sure that DTS-HD MA was really needed for this, but it's there.

Don't know...seemed distant to me on first listen, not as immediate as I've heard. Sounds good, though.
