With insurance guy being in the mix now I get the feeling the show may get a bit edgier.

The funny thing about on screen ads is that I probably wouldn't even think twice about them if it wasn't for this forum.

I liked tonight's show, loved it when our resident thief chastised the hacker for illegal downloading.

I have only seen the last two episodes of this show, but I will say the show has a decent setup. For the most part the writing is fine. I am not quite sure Timothy Hutton is cast correctly as the lead guy, but overall the cast works well together.

The British chick is not attractive, not ugly but strangely sexy....maybe its the accent.....I have a thing for accents ...The blonde chick is hot and I love her quirkiness and facial expressions. .....the fighter/tuff guy needs to cut that hair!!!!

On last week's show, I loved how the names they used for the fake FBI was "Elmore Leonard".

After the pilot I had better hopes for this series. It seems like it got toned from between the time the pilot was filmed and subsequent episodes. We only get glimpses of what could of been. Like the moment with the evil insurance investigator. I will watch the rest of the season but it is no longer priority with new seasons of Damages and Nip/Tuck starting this week.

Leverage is exciting but kind of dumb. Nevertheless, I have enjoyed it because of Timothy Hutton's charm and consistently terrific performances by Gina Bellman, as Sophie. The plots are ludicrous; fortunately, though, we always know that the Good Guys will win, thanks to a preposterous but exciting twist or two along the way.

I gave it four episodes and promptly dumped it. I liked the cast but the plot lines got weaker and less believable each week. In my humble opinion, each episode declined after the pilot. Too little of the blonde acrobat and way too much of the guy that should get a hair cut. Bye bye.

Too bad, the blonde was the main character in the last episode, can't help you with the plot lines , but we got plenty of the blonde this week.

I have to say, my opinion of the show has decreased since it first came on, but I still like it. Im still going to go with it for awhile and see where it goes.

Indeed! It's a mistake to expect too much from this show. It's a routine comedy-drama, which is saved from unwatchability only by its outstanding ensemble cast. It is modest but it is kind of fun, too.

I don't know, but that's about as pathetic as you can get, showing your own original HD programming in stretch-o-vision. 2.35:1 stretch

I hope this isn't the start of a new trend on TNT. I hope they just made a mistake this week and next week we'll get the show back the way it belongs.

I think they are showing another repeat of this ep on Saturday(not positive on the day), I've got it set to record, hoping it might show up in HD.

I must have not been paying attention (I thought the episode got off to a slow start, so that's very likely) because I didn't even notice it was stretched!

If I remember rightly, the first time I saw Leverage, a few weeks ago, it was stretched, then I skipped a week and was surprised that the next one wasn't stretched.

Last night was the first night I remember it being stretched, and I've seen all the episodes, so I'm pretty sure I would have noticed. I thought last night's episode was pretty good, except for the stretch-o-vision part.

I was disgusted by the SD, too. If next week's episode starts out that way, too, I won't watch and will cancel my season pass. Just when you think that TNT can't do anything any worse than they've done before, they do it. Sheesh!

TNT's butchery of Leverage is particularly disappointing to me because the show's cast is uniformly charming and many of the one liners the writers give them make me laugh out loud. Nevertheless . . .

It's a shame - I thought this was one of the better episodes. Some good humor in it too.

"It burns!" "Did you just kill a guy with appetizers?" Great show! And the blonde! And the chic from Coupling! And the guy who barked in Ordinary People! How can you go wrong?

I never got into Coupling, but I thought she was good in Jekyll.

There's a post on Engadget HD, where the show's executive producer says that someone just fed in the wrong version...

It's dumb, predictable, has pilfered material from "The A-Team" to "McGyver" to whatever the hell the name of that show was with the old guy working solo who made things right for people and did I mention predictable?

But you know what? I love it! In fact, I enjoy it so much, the stretch-o-vision mistake didn't even bother me this week (and I did notice it). The cast is enjoyable, the women are smokin', the dialogue makes me laugh and it's an hour I can just sit back and enjoy.

I'm so glad that lighter serious fare like Leverage, Burn Notice and In Plain Sight is doing well. It's such a welcome relief from the twisted, frequently mind-numbing plotlines dominating other more "sophisticated" shows. COUGH - Lost - COUGH - BSG - COUGH - 24 - COUGH, COUGH, COUGH - Heroes. Not that I don't - or didn't - enjoy those other shows (aside from the woefully overrated BSG and the creative demise of Heroes) - just that it's nice having watchable alternatives.
