I didn't notice lag to begin with. I'll try playing come Rockband 2 on it and see how I do.

Your tv adjust RBG automatically so you need not mess with it. Keep it on limited. If you turn it on you will experience black crush and will have to increase the brightness on your set.

I turned super-white off. No one can really explain to me what it does anyway.

review of the B750 in dark conditions

Hi there B750 owners. Would you please let me know how this tv performs under dark conditions.? I need to know about the PQ on HD and SD, black and dark details in dark areas, the grey scale, contrast, the collors and so.... I used to have the A850, anybody that can compare this tv to that?..

I am considering dropping my order for a PS50B860 for this 52" B750 but I do need to be sure what I am doing. I dont want do any return when I have first decided for a set..

Thanks in advance..

Jens

Best LCD I've seen under dark conditions. Very uniform screen with little to no trace of clouding. There are no flashlights on my unit.

Now if Only they weren't so overpriced (compared to similar sized LCDs and Plasmas) I only have a $2000 budget and these are way out of that budget for now.

Even the 52a750 is out of my budget now on most sites. (marked up due to the new units being out I guess)

Most places have the LN46B750 for $2039- Amazon, BB, Frys.

Some online have them for $2k or 1900+; I think it was Cleveland Plasma and I forgot the other one...Stuck something.

Gl with the purchase.

I want a 52 inch LCD, 46 inch sets are too small for where the set is going.

If you will read my initial impressions in the Owners Thread, I address some of this since I came from an A850 also. In general, there is no comparison - the B750 blows away the A750 in all areas you mentioned: PQ, black levels, contrast, color, etc. (at least this is my perception).

I'm getting judder or maybe input lag from my xbox 360 when playing hd dvds. I also get less frequent but occasional judder from my Satellite connection when it is HD content. Anyone know how to fix that? The "judder reduction" slider doesn't fix it. Some source and HD DVDs are worse than others. I only have one blu-ray to test so far and it seemed ok.

My 360 uses the component connection (not HDMI), is that a known issue? Or is it unique to this TV? When I play games there is no issue.

I would have assumed it's due to the component connection rather than HDMI but my satellite has HDMI and it still has the same stutters on HD content at times. Not as frequent it seems but they were there for the Lost episode the other night.

I turned off 240hz processing but no affect so it isn't related to that. I didn't try film mode, would that help?

Cleveland Plasma has the LN52B750 for $2350 shipped, that's not that much more than your $2k budget. You make it seem like it's $1-2k more which is mis-leading.

Guys please keep this about user settings, pictures, and such. Not price talk, where to buy, or size issues. That is for the owners thread.

Newbie Bluray Settings

Been loving m 52B750 so far. Going to try out a few Blurays tonight. Will be going from a Sammy BDP1600 via HDMI directly to the B750. What are the typical settings to get an "as intended" from the disc. AMP off and Movie for the picture mode and Dynamic Contrast off? Any help to get the settings right for best possible Bluray playback would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
awlipson
