Leading the way are new technologies like light emitting diode (LED) and organic light emitting diode (OLED). These join the market’s traditional technologies — plasma and LCD — to provide consumers with a growing choice of products.

We've rounded up some of the latest flat-panel TVs to hit the market.

LG 50PQ70
LG’s PQ70, which comes with Bluetooth technology, offers a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a 1365 x 768 resolution and RS-232C. It also features two HDMI 1.3 inputs with Deep Color, one USB 2.0 input, two Component inputs and one PC audio input.

Mitsubishi LT-52246
Mitsubishi’s Diamond 1080p LCDs come in 52- and 46-inch screen sizes. This 52-inch model features a 16:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate and RS-232C.
