AMX Netlinx - Web interface?
I'm looking to see if anyone knows if there is an easy to use web interface for an AMX Netlix NI-2000.
We have some of these controllers in conference rooms and I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to control the room remotely with what we already have. Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Tailspin |

re: AMX Netlinx - Web Interface
How about using your browser?
Any touch panel designs created in TPDesign 3.15 or later can be converted and downloaded into the onboard web server in the NI-2000. I did this a few years ago - I haven't done any AMX programming in a while, as AMX shot themselves in the foot here in Canada when they changed their name to Panja and someone else registered the AMX name/logo (!). The neat thing is that if a web browser is on the control page and a touchpanel is also attached, the two panels can track each other if the programming is done correctly (i.e. all page feedback is programmatic rather than in the TP code). Make sure that if you do this, you firewall the control system properly as it has no built-in security of its own. Cheers sonixresearch |

The Phoenix32 system provides a true web interface to NetLinx. The web components could be easily extracted to a standalone application if need be. Please contact us if we may be of assistance. Please see the Realm Control website for more information.
