Anyone have this DVD-A? Was it remixed for surround sound, or is it the CD in better fidelity? How's your general impression of it?

Its ok its not among the best or worst for sound quality and surround sound. If you are a big fan of the album you will probably like this but it won't change your mind if you already don't like it or think it is mediocre.

I've always been luke-warm on the sound quality of the redbook CD. The DVD-A is (to me) much better, and I really like the surround mix.

I have it and I like it, but as it was stated previously, the surround mix isn't spectacular, but it isn't bad either.

Thank-you all for your comments, and the link.

I've always liked the album, and it sounds like one that I might get in the future. Being new to the surround format, and the premium you have to pay for these discs makes a person careful to choose just the right discs. Too bad there are not more choices in the surround format, especially the classic rock.

too bad the packaging erroneously mentions an "Advanced Resolution" stereo mix. There are only 24/96 5.1 and DD 5.1 mixes on here....

Someone at Elektra is an idiot.

I've just been through the same frustrating experience. Trying to access the "Advanced Resolution" stereo mix only to find that it doesn't exist

Luckily it is the only DVD-A I have that falls into this category.

I wonder how many more DVD-As were released this way? Thankfully I paid less than $10 for it on a Deep Discount DVD sale.
