1. TV turned on
2. Press and hold the 'Menu' button at the tv.
3. Press and release the 'Power' button.
4. Press and release the 'Vol up' button.
5. Release the 'Menu' button.
6. The initial security parameter displayed will be 'zero' Change this to '76'.

You are now in the Adjustment mode

Use the 'Channel up or down' to select parameter 'P'. Use the 'Volume up or down' to change the parameter value. Turn the set off to exit.

With the TV powered on"

On the front panel (not the remote), press "menu" and "vol up" simultaneously.

That way didn't work for me either to enter the RCA 27V550T xbox ready television. I just recently bought a 360 and with the component cables hooked up it overscans to the left about 2" which is quite annoying, it does it a little with the regular av to but I've dealt with it till now. Does anyone know the way to change the horizontal size of the screen and to get into the service menu. I tried doing the steps above but all it does is bring up my regular menu.

Does Anyone Have The Answer

Please someone help and save me the $$$ of taking it to the shop for something so simple. I've been annoyed for 2 years with this problem and now that I actually use it for games its really annoying because sometime things I need to see are off the screen.

none of these methods listed seem to work, if anyone knows, I need to get into the RCA SM to adjust my VSIZE/HSIZE, the screen overscans like 11% now...

I apologize for the necro-post, but this thread is one of the top threads when searching for the answer so I figured I should put the answer here for the two other people in the world that need it.

1. Turn the instrument on.
2. Press and hold the VOL - button.
a. Press and release the POWER button.
b. Press and release the MENU button.
3. Release the VOL - button.

Keep pressing vol -/+ until the number reaches 76. Press chan -/+ to change to the different service options.
