JVC upconverting dvd recorder with vhs.

I saw this unit today JVC DR-MV7S. It is a dvd burner, upconverting(with HDMI), and vhs player. I am about to buy my first hd tv. I have a non progressive dvd player and a VHS machine that just quit. Any ideas about JVC quality?

I bought this one because it does everything I need and it's reasonably priced. I love it, but I'm new to all this. In any case, it does do a great job with both DVDs and old VCR tapes.
