Need help in buying 29" TV (CRT)
Please suggest which of these is the better 29" TV:
1. Samsung CS-29Z40 (100 Hz) 2. Philips 29PT7325 (100 Hz) 3. Sony KV-SZ29M80/50 4. Samsung CS-29T10 Request the following points for suggestion: * Flat picture I mean no/minimum curves on the edges. I checked a few sets, the picture curves downwards near the side edges. * minimum color bleeding * Picure tube quality - which one is better Samsung or Philips (if I go for 100 Hz model) * Overall features (sound, video, etc) Thanks in advance. P.S. * I checked one more Samsung model CS-29Z30BP (100 Hz). For the model CS-29Z40, the feature list says 100 Hz scan but for CS-29Z30BP, it says Basic 100HZ. Can anyone help me find the difference. Here are the URLs: * Are 100Hz scan and Progressive Scan (for TVs) one and the same thing? |

I too am on look out for a TV with similar specs
I came across 2 similar models from Philips [ 29PT8836 and 29PT7325 ] but could not figure out the difference b/w them except for the color and menu language support There is an article in PC world October 2006 issue comparing the following models : 1) Philips - 29PT8836 (100hz)- Rating 80 (very Good) - 2) Samsung - CS-29Z30MA (50hz)- Rating 72 ( Good) 3) LG - 29FS2RMB (100hz)- Rating 72 (Good) Not sure why they did not review the CS-29Z40 Regards |
