Ha Ha great minds think alike! We had a loop of crickets chirping, the banjo music, and area music from around the ride playing playing in the lobby during the open house.

Ok here we go... Most of these pictures I had to turn the lights up all the way to get a good pic. I will post some good atmosphere pics soon.

Here is a head on pic of looking in to the theater from the lobby:

This would be from sitting at the back of the theater at the bar:

Here is a good photo of the top of the bar. Notice how we put an old treasure map and gold pieces under the glass:

Looking right at the bar:

Looking left at the bar:

Side view from the aisle way:

Front looking towards the back:

Very nice! Very creative as well. Great job! Home Theater Magazine should highlight your theater!

Great themed room....one of best I've seen.....as it happens kids are watching PoC II on a crummy 30" CRT set (hence why I'm on the PC and not watching).

Cheers,
Mark

^^^ what they said.

I bet some of the people who worked on PoTC would get a kick out of this room too

Is there light reflection off the "treasure" in the front by the screen?

Awesome. Simply awesome. I really love the overall style of the cinema, even though I didn't like PotC at all.

When I see this theater, I think of the ride....from the beginning crickets and banjo music....I can almost smell the water! When my wife saw this, she was in awe as I am. Love it! Love it! Certainly is in the top five theaters around here! Outstanding job!

Outstanding! I don't think it gets any better than this. I might have done some more for the candy counter however. Everything else looks superb. Will you be having any members from here over to check it out?

I am in the process right now of building a concessions area along with a matching ticket area. I had to get the theater up and running so we could have an open house. SO we just grabbed a table and decorated it like how you see in the picture. It looks completely different now. Even the popcorn machine was temporary. It was way too small for the amount of people we have over.

Uh, yes please?

Where in Utah? I'm 3 hours north of the border and depending on where you're at I might be able to get permission to come to the open house

pkonold,

I would love to be able to see this in person, especially since I know how hard it is to do justice with pictures in these theaters.

I am nearly finished with my own theater, and although I am hesitant to post it here, it turned out nice for my needs. I would like to see yours in person.

I am another 1 1/2 - 2 hrs across the border down in Utah County. It would be quite the drive.

Well let's plan a AVS night. Anyone else interested let me know.
Pictures are insane to take in the theater. It is hard to capture the feel of the room.

Can your rear row viewers really see the whole screen in this setup? Great room and setup, congrats!

Beautiful! May I ask what speakers you are using? Is the center channel hidden behind the screen?
