Velodyne MiniVee vs DPS 12

Anyone have ay experience with the velodyny Minivee sub. It seems like a pretty decent sub on paper but I have yet to hear one. I have heard the DPS series and like them but can get the Minivee for almost the same price as the DPS 12.

Any thoughts?

I purchased one for a great price through aafes.com which is a military store. I am quite impressed with its output. Previously i had 2 klipsch rp 5 speakers which had 12 inch subs in the tower speaks. The minivee is incredibly tight and balanced but dosent have the hit in the gut bass that many bass heads crave. Its still a wonderful sub for small to medium theaters

I owned a Mini-Vee for a while and I must say the I was completely unimpressed with its performance. In fairness to the Vee, it was implimented into a system that had several other, much more capable subs, that were options as well. Be that as it may, I could never get into the music with it playing. I felt sorry for that little woofer at times as it was working like crazy but wasn't turning out too much output!! There is better out there if you are looking in the $400-500 range.
