DirecTV HR20 vs. TW 8300HD (SARA)

I'm in Austin, TX and a 5 year DirecTV subscriber with 3 DirecTivos. I just purchased a HD TV and need to decide whether to stick with DirecTV or migrate to TW. Of course, the main factor is the DVR of each. I realize there's programming choices to factor in as well, but I need advice regarding the DVRs. Does anyone have any experience with both?

Well, being that there isn't a compelling reason to choose an HR20 over a TW 8300 I've scheduled Time Warner to come out and perform the cutover. Thanks.

thread resurection

I too have the same question...
Looking to upgrade to HDTV...6 yr subscriber to D* with series 1 Tivo...looking for pros / cons of D* to Cox cable (hope that isn't against the rules) and pros / cons of HR20 vs. SA 8300. For background already have phone and internet through cox, stuck with D* for SDTV primarily because I (and the wife) liked Tivo and didn't want to bother switching to a generic DVR. Thanks in advance
