I got one of these for Christmas, and I love it, but I noticed a strange issue with how it changes inputs on my Olevia. Let me describe my setup...I use Component 1 for Watch TV, Component 2 for Play Game, and DVI for Watch DVD.
Here is the issue: If I switch to the DVI input from Component 1 (from Watch TV to Watch DVD) and back to either Watch TV or Play Game, the TV will end up to the proper input. BUT, if I change to DVI from Component 2 (from Play Game to Watch DVD) and back to either Watch TV or Play Game, the TV will go to the wrong input for either one of these. After that I have to use the help button to fix it up. Other than the above it switches inputs just fine. I've been knocking my head against the wall trying to figure out why this happens and how to fix this. I even e-mailed tech support...Maybe the function wasn't coded properly or something. |

Actually, I'm using the default setup for the TV from the database. It works well, except if you switch to DVI from Component 2. After that, if you try to go to an activity using the component inputs, you'll have them reversed, like 1 instead of 2 and 2 instead of 1.
The other way of switching inputs is a list/scroll/select option, but that takes longer. It's a shame that Olevia has 1 button for both component inputs on the remote, 1 for VGA/DVI, and one for all 3 video inputs, instead of individual commands. Has anyone had experience with the tech support? Do they help people fix these kinds of issues with the database commands for these TVs? |
