I paid $100 for a sealed Cape Fear D-Theater that won't play properly!

I think I may have won the 2006 forum idiot of the year award. I bought a sealed CAPE FEAR for $100 from a fellow member out of desperation after selling mine for $50 on ebay. Days after selling my copy I was suffering from severe reget so I purchased a sealed copy. Well, the tape arrived yesterday and this evening I put it in my JVC 5U deck. Immediately after putting it in I heard a noise. The first 18 seconds ,according to the counter, of tape physically came out of the shell and I had to physically pull/remove the tape from my JVC 5U deck. The 5U was in perfect working condition and plays all my other tapes play fine. I physically rewound the tape and it did the same thing. I might have to sell my copy of The Bourne Identity just to make the money back and I still be without Cape Fear. I am SO PISSED at myself for selling my tape. If I had a gun I would blow my stupid freaking brains out!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a moron I am

see used opened copies! Sorry to hear that. Is the tape still useable? Can the tape be repaired? I had a messed up tape, but was able to repair it Cutting the broken parts of the tape and respooling it. All was fine except the "D-Theater" intro.
