Harmony programing software - LOCALLY saving "profiles"?
I spent a long time tweaking my harmony 550 to get it just right.
Is it possible to "back-up" or save my current set-up/profile? I would like the option to "revert" to the current set-up in the event that I screw it up later. In a few months, I plan to add a new audio receiver, and I am afraid when I go to modify the set-up, I might accidentally change something else, and I forget some of my repeater or delay setttings - I had a hell of a time getting it to properly switch inputs on my Pioneer Plasma because the TV would be "unavailabe" for new input comands for a short time after it senced a signal or lack of signal between my DVD player and PVR... |

What is the order of events that you do to update? I think I had always started by logging in or whatever, so I am already on the harmony site before I even start the updating process...? |

That binary file would be of limited use. Yes it would allow you to set your remote back to that state.. but it would be disjoint from the settings you have saved on the web site. I think having 2 accounts, 1 with your 'production' set up and 1 with your 'test' configuration would be much more useful.
PS, you won't get a dialog if you told the browser to remember the 'open' setting in the past. |
