question regarding sub on non 5.1 tracks
Hi everyone, I just purchased a subwoofer for my surround sound system and it works great on 5.1 encoded media, but I'd like to use it for all my music. Is there any way to do this? maybe a seperate box that simulates 5.1 in between the source and the reciever? My reciever is an older TEAC AG D8900 AV Unit. Thanks in advance for any help and Happy New Years

Four options:
1. An AVR that will do bass management on stereo sources. 2. An outboard Bass Manager (might be cheaper to replace your AVR). 3. A subwoofer that has the crossover/BM circuit built in. 4. A disc player that does BM on stereo programs.
