Crank the movie on dvd is universal / lionsgate. yet only bluray annouchment?

a friend of mine e-mailed me and was watching the dvd movie of Crank and told me that the Universal logo and Lionsgate logo are infront of the dvd.

yet Crank is only announchment for bluray yet and not HD-DVD.

maybe that is the reason how those rumors started that crank would be released for HD-DVD as well. since it was a Co production between Lionsgate and Universal?

It could come out . Who knows . Perhaps its a Feb release . Bluray releases are announced much earlier than hd-dvds . Hd-dvds are normaly a month to a few days before release

I believe Universal has the righs for Crank in europe. So a HD DVD release could happen
