whole house audio

I have recently purchased a "spec" house where they ran speaker wire to 6 zones, no cat-5 though. I am looking to run the cat-5 to at least the 5 first floor locations. I am looking for a whole house audio distribution system. I have read about Russound and Niles and I have started to look at Home Theater Direct from some of the posts I have seen on here. I am not looking to break the bank, possibly even getting something used on one of the sites. Does anyone have any suggestions for my application.
