Surface Area Make a Difference?

I'm buying new speaker cables, and I heard that spade connectors are preferred over locking bananas since they have more surface area to contact with the posts. On my amplifier side they have to be locking bananas, but should I choose spade or banana for the speaker-side connection?

The difference is negligable and would not be audible. Use which ever you prefer.
