Coaster Studio and Director

I went to a local store to compare Coaster chairs, however the style names were not actually listed. Two questions:

1. The chairs that appeared to be brown Studios seemed to be more orange than they appear on the web--much more orange than the Director. Is this how they are supposed to be, or was this possibly a custom leather?

2. The Studios had a much more rigid leg raising system than the Directors. The Directors didn't seemed "locked" after they were raised. This is odd since the Studios and Directors appear to be identical other than the arms. Several of the Coasters on display didn't lock out very well. Has anyone else noticed this? I want the legs to lock out "hard" when I raise my legs.

I'm trying to decide before the Powerbuy closes out...

most reclinging furniture that uses buttons, rip-cords, etc other than a typical recliner handle usually don't lock out...at least until you begin to recline the back slightly and then they will "lock out" or stay up better. At least this has been my experience selling lane, berkline, best chairs, douglas, and klaussner reclining furniture for over 3 years.
