Motorola 6416 III via HDMI to A/V reciever

So I hooked up my cable box to my Onkyo TX-SR604 reciever and it worked fine for a second, outputting audio and video to my TV, but then a message came up that read "the set-top does not support HD Content Protected Repeaters"

When I hook up the box directly to the TV via HDMI, it works fine.

For now I have it hooked up via component cable to the TV and a coax audio cable to my reciever, but i'd prefer to use an hdmi cable for video and audio all at once, as well as to reduce number of things plugged into my tv.

Any ideas guys?

so i tried this last night, and still didn't work. I think i'm just going to have to live with it. Won't be so bad with a harmony 880 remote to do all the tedious switching between components for me, haha.
