Fox Hd?

Ok, we just got the HD package from COX today, but the only drawback is WE DO NOT HAVE FOX HD?!?!

I was hoping to catch the saints game tomorrow on it, but I guess regular TV will have to do. =/

Does anyone know a way to receive a feed from a satellite or anything??

I'm from the Gretna, LA area. Thanks!

It is the New Orleans local HDTV thread. Folks there can more easily answer your question.

(Then come back and join us here! And welcome to AVS)

If your TV has an ATSC tuner, put up an antenna. But I don't know the status of the Fox digital station in New Orleans which appears to be near you. You should ask in the locals thread for your city/area in the Locals HDTV Reception forum.

Where can I buy this OTA thing?

I just did some research and learned that it is "over-the-air", which im guessing is an antenna correct?

Your guess is correct. If your station's tower isn't too far away, you may be able to just use a small indoor antenna. I believe there's a site that can determine the best antenna to use depending on tower distance, but I can't seem to locate it.

Great! I just need an UHF antenna, and the site said I could catch FOX, but will it be HD?

Thats why they pointed you towards your local thread. It should be in HDTV, but since I'm in Maryland I don't know if your local Fox affiliate has any issues which would keep it from being in HDTV. But your local neighbors will know.

There are still some affiliates out there that don't support HDTV yet.

If your TV has a built-in HD tuner, or you have an OTA external HD tuner-box, you're all set (as long as the local FOX affiliate is transmitting in HD).

WVUE-DT is HD-capable.
