Local theaters hate em. If you can strike up a conversation with someone they might be willing to give you one for a few bucks (timing is key). As always eBay would otherwise be the spot. Check out Entertainment Memorabilia -> Movie Memorabilia -> Standees. Lots of stuff you would find at a Spencer's gifts in there too though. Beware the shipping too...

Wife found a darth vader, as well as a stormtrooper and r2d2, at a thrift store. Some extra wood and halloween lights lying around and this stand looks great in my theater

Also check out your local Blockbuster, etc. Some standees they have to send back to the studios, some they dont and just end up trashing if the employees don't take them. Never hurts to ask.

Internet standups
I was surprised to find a fair number of cardboard stand-ups available for order at a website called "allposters period com". They have sales every 4-5 weeks. Get on their e-mail list for information about sales and coupons.
