Before anyone orders, they may want to want until Xploited Cinema has this in stock to check the price. When last I checked, this disc was basically $34-$35 US from Spanish retailers (retail minus the already added VAT) and shipping from all was about $15 to get it to the US. So you are looking at paying $50 to get a copy here. This disc will probably be a $40 disc from Xploited, with $4 shipping (just a guess).

Xploited said they will be adding them to their site as soon as their shipment arrives, which I would guess would probably be next week.

It looks like Spanish imports will be just about as expensive as Japanese imports...

Here is the review of this guy..sorry for the translation by systran

Watched this evening Underworld Evolution (Spanish importation)
in English VO DD+ 5.1

Image is razor sharp with fabulous contrasts and very deep major blacks
. The dominant bluish one on the image of this film is
magnificently retranscribed on this HD-DVD with a quasi total absence
of grain and an impressive quantity of details on the
background. The large view of the face of Kate Beckinsale are ...
Nothing to say, the well controlled compression of VC1 makes it
and they did great and beautiful job.
Having had the opportunity to watch the Blu-Ray version a few weeks ago, I find the image of this version HD-DVD more achieved with a better visibility at the obscure scenes (I found the blacks of BD version a
little bit too dark and sometimes that leads to feeling of lack
of relief at certain moments).
Recoding the AQ, I was agreeably surprised because I had found track PCM multichannel of the BD versional with low wonderful and a remarkable bass and I did not expect that track DD+ of this disc makes almost as well I would not
go until saying as the depth of low and the total dynamics of the unit
exceeds version PCM but this band its is far from being ridiculous.
Frankly, with my ears, the difference is really very negligible and is
worth largely the turning.

A must have for the fans of film and my final verdict:

Image: 10/10 Sound: 9/10"

For who can understand french
http://www.homecinema-fr.com/forum/v...9116&start=675

however , 50$ for this disc is rather high...i will wait for ebay

Welll as much as I want this title. I can see myself paying Over $50 aussie dollars for a HD DVD.

Since when is Euro 31 a deal? No one in Spain is gonna pay that for a disk.

I guess spanish on-line retailers are not very shipping-cost-friendly then, like every on-line business should be.
I live in Spain and the official rate for sending something like a hd-dvd by standard mail to the US is 4.85 euros tops, which $15 is not.....

Well the HDDVD has started to ship out here in Europe. I have bought Underworld from DVDgo (Spain) yesterday and I had it today here in Denmark. Some of us is still ready to pay 31EURO + shipment for the right movie.

And I must say that the money was well spent.

......other strange persons than me out there, I guess so as I know 15 friends (12 from Denmark and 3 form germany) that have bought it. Let us all support the studios so we will see more international releases. The only way to make the life a little more sad for the Blu-Ray "Exclusive" studios

Mine should be shipping this week.

There was a little delay because DVDgo requested that I complete a (one-time)authorization request for my CC.

Can't wait to watch Underworld on HD-DVD!!!

Shipping overseas is definitely not cost-friendly when you are simply ordering one item. It always best to order multiple items or buy in bulk.

The same is true when ordering items from Korea. Always best to buy multiples and maximize your shipping.

I'm putting off ordering this movie until Pan's Labyrinth is also released, provided Warner/New Line doesn't make a USA announcement in time.

yes but more of them are coming, I also placed an order and received the confirmation that more pieces will come.

By the way, looking on DVD Go there's also the Blu Ray version of it, not released by SONY, but as for the HD DVD is released by Filmax; here the specs of both HD DVD and Blu RAY:

http://www.zonadvd.com/modules.php?n...ticle&sid=8461

http://www.zonadvd.com/modules.php?n...ticle&sid=8305

They are exactly the same edition, with same contents.
Looking at the specs it looks like there are more special features compared to the SONY version, this leads me to think is a new master also for BLU RAY

Thanks Onkyo but I can't understand the language. I'll wait for it on DVDgo or exploited ---when I get this title I'd like to take advantage of the shipping and order at least three.
