hollow baseboard for speaker wire?

Are there any other options other than wiremold that looks good and will allow speaker wire to be run in or behind baseboard?
thanks

Wiretracks makes something like that. You could look into that. You could almost make something yourself after you see their demo of how it works. Pretty simple. Me? I like ripping down walls and using my wood cutting bits on my drill!!

Regular baseboard and a router table would work pretty well. Just cut in a 1/4 - 3/8” deep channel into the back of the baseboard.

Even if you don't have a router table if you have a table saw you can make some groves. Just several passes moving the fence a bit at a time. Line up all your boards make one pass on each board, then move the fence and repeat.

Here is another option, make your own with strips of wood that hold the base board a little bit off the wall. When painted to match nobody would even know the difference unless you pointed it out.

To further enhance Bigmouth's picture above, you could ad another pc of molding, 1/4 round or Ogee or such to the top for a more finished look as well.
