Flipswap for HDtv (CRT)

So I goofed a few years ago and got a HDtv (massive CRT) with DVI... I regret it and regret even more the fact that a year later I could have gotten a flat cabinet set for the same price.

At any rate, I am wondering what is the logical solution for selling old sets? It is a 30" Samsung TXP-3075WH. Great tube but heavy and without HDMI or HDCP which is killing me. I work in the cell phone business and it is relatively common to take old phones in as trades but I have called around to local home electronics stores such as Ultimate Electronics and no one takes them in.

What do I do? I want to buy a new LCD set with HDMI to use alongside as a computer monitor and getting a few bucks out of this pristine quality Samsung would be nice... What do yall do?

Any light shed will be nice.

I just sold a 27" tube on ebay. I listed it as pick-up only. The guys arrived, gave me the money, and carried it away. You could probably sell yours the same way.

One side question, though--I thought that particular tv did have hdcp--are you positive it doesn't?

You know, thank you for posting that because I just looked it up haha and it is! I really want to get rid of this monster though - the HDCP prior comment did not have much weight.

I might try ebay then... I would like to be able to trade it in though so I don't have either two tvs in the house or be without one.

Selling CRT

If you live in an area that has craigslist, sell it there. Ask for cash only and their pick-up. You don't have to deal with all of the extra fees associated with ebay/paypal.
