Any way to change the geometry on 4X3 TV?

I have the SamSung TXP3264 CRT with the 4X3 screen, that does a widescreen mode and a fullscreen (by "stretching" the 16X9 picture verticaly)? The thing about the stretch mode is that everything looks normal-BUT the PEOPLE . Their FOREHEADS! You dont really notice anything on show with NO humans in it, like wildlife or cartoons. The shark or bear may lose about 20 pounds, but that's it. A building will gain 15 feet of height, but it doesn't look odd unless there's people in the picture. It's a "Gumby effect" . Their forehead looks humongous, they gained 5 inches of height and they lost 20 pounds ! Yao Ming looks 8 feet tall! But I like the stretch mode sometimes because I'm getting the whole 32" picture. The picture looks smaller in widescreen, so I position the seating about 4 feet from the screen. Is there any way in the sub-menues to slightly change the geometry of the stretch mode so the peoples heads dont look so bizarre?
