Help for Fabric Mesh on TV

I am not sure if this is the right place for asking my question but I don't know where else to put it so here it is. Please feel free to move it to the right forum so I will know where to place any future posts of this nature.

I have a 57 inch Hitachi TV (all in one piece) about 4 years old now. One of our darn cats, has begun to use the fabric mesh at the bottom of the TV, as a scratching post and the mesh is now frayed more than a little. It really bothers me and I have since fixed the cat scratching problem but am left with the ugly frayed mesh on the bottom and it is very noticable too.

Question, Can this mesh be replaced and if so could I do it myself?. If so, what type of store, etc. would I go to check into buying the new fabric mesh and what kind\type would I need to purchase. Also, how would I go about removing the bottom panel where the mesh is and how to put the new fabric mesh on. Sorry but I am not so adept at these types of things somight it be better for me to get a TV repair company to do it for me.

Any and all help and info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.
