odd question, advice for the pros

This may seem like an odd question to ask you guys, but I need help choosing a TV thats not CRT. My xbr960 took a fall in a recent move, and theres discoloration wound the sides and corners. I know I'll never get another set with a PQ as good as this thing. But It need to be retired to a back room now

When i got that 200 pound beast I thought I wouldnt be moving again in 5 years. Life turns out funny and now Ive moved it 3 times in the last 2 years. I'll most likely be moving atleast 2 more times in the next 3 years. I need something thats more practical.

So why am I asking here? Cuz you folks appreciate true PQ and details more than any other group. I think you all might be able to truthfully steer me in the right direction for the next set. I have been thinking about the new Pioneer plasma kuro line currently. With a 3000 dollar budget its in my range. Video gaming and sports is the primary use on my set, so its gotta be able to handle that.

If I new I'd be stationary, id get my xbr960 repaired, but thats not gonna happen. Appreciate your input.

With that kind of budget I'd suggest looking for the best Panny or Pioneer Plasma you can. You should be able to get near CRT PQ and you'll get a bigger screen, maybe even 1080p.

Yup, I'd say go Pioneer Plasma. It's the closest you're gonna get.
