The "Official" VSX-94TXH Thread...:0)

I really like the look of this receiver...There is at least one new proud owner of this model and we would all love to hear about the features...

Here is a picture of the new sleek clean VSX-94TXH...(Damn...I want one NOW!... )

I have yet to see a picture of the remote control for either the 94 or 92. They must not come with one

I heard from a rep that Elite is going to be touting an even higher-end model at Cedia.

Jake,

Are we talking 56TXi higher or something like a 59TX flagship model?

Well, it is possible to order the 94TXH from the Pioneer store in Ca. The Gal (Amy) told me they are getting some in a couple days and they will sell out quick...BUT...They want 1600.00 for the unit. Me thinks I'll wait a few more weeks and get one for around 1200.00 online...

How do you know it doesn't have ilink? If it doesn't is it because of the cec 1.3 HDMI?

Looks good and Congrats! How much did you pay? And could you post some pix of the rear and the remote?

I was at the local Best Buy/Magnolia and they have one that will be there on Monday.

Here's another question:

What's up with some of the newer recievers I'm seeing that don't have the "THX" or any kind of logos on it? Do they not certify them anymore? I've never really noticed any difference whether they were any better or not.

I'm more or less just curious.

All the THX and audio logos are on top the receiver now. At least on the 91 that I have is that way.

Don't even bother, 530 watt power supply, same as the 84, 74, look at the high resolution rear view to see for yourself. Onkyo 805 here I come (875 watt power supply). Still don't even know if the 94 handles DSD natively.

The 94 will handle DSD in the PURE DIRECT mode. I have an Oppo DV-980H, which has HDMI 1.2a; and playing an SACD with the PURE DIRECT setting, only the DSD light comes on. To get it to play this way you have to toggle through a couple of the S. DIRECT settings.

You will regret that Onkyo buy because of the switching audio cut out problems. I have the 84 currently and even in a giant great room with 18ft ceiling I haven't had to use all of it's power...

Manual PDF

I found the manual for the 92 / 94 on the Pioneer site. It isn't there officially yet. I did a seach for MCACC under home entertainment and it popped right up.

Great discovery! Knowing you could find the main manual this way, I searched on "Home Media Gallery" and found the separate media gallery manual for the 94.
