Question How is 'The Machinist' import?

Both the disc & film quality? Christian Bale is one of the best actors around today IMHO, but I haven't seen this film. Worth a blind buy in your opinion?

if you like the movie the hd dvd is a significant upgrade in PQ. bale's emaciation is hauntingly captured. however, if you have never seen the film, it's a love it / hate it type thing... if you really like him as an actor, he's great in this one...

worth seeing just for this, but not sure if blind buying an expensive import is

It's a good film, you can find it for <$5 at Hollywood Videos preview section on DVD. Then you can decide if you want to import. I'd kinda compare it to Momento, but Bale's physical transformation is incredible and scary.

Hmmm, thanks. Think I'll buy it. HD DVD & BD have spoiled me to the point of avoiding DVDs whenever possible. Guess I can always sell it here if I don't like it.

Just a heads up. The movie is fantastic, but some people including myself have had audio sync problems with the movie. It didn't bother me that much but some people may not want to pay so much money for a Japanese import and have these kind of issues.
