LCD horizontal lines?
I bought a 46" Samsung 1080p monday. This morning I've noticed that there is a horizontal black line that has appeared at the bottom of the screen. It's visible roughly 3/4 of the way across the screen. It runs through the Fox listing on the guide in the pic.
Any ideas as to what caused this? Everything that goes to the tv runs through one of Belkin's top surge protectors. ![]() |

I'd put my money that the set is defective. The final test would be to see if it happens from other sources and other inputs... but I'm betting that you'll still have the problem. If you do not have the problem with this testing, you have just discovered what it is not - the very expensive and irrepairable panel on your tv.
If its your tv, return it or submit for warranty service.. |

If the internally generated screen (like the OSD menu) shows the problem, then it is likely the set. The problem looks like inducted noise from the cables. This is why the video board generated screens should not show it (since it is not coming in from the outside window).
